Ecolopedia is a modern digital knowledge platform dedicated to the exploration and documentation of life from microorganisms and plants to complex animal species. Our goal is to bring together scientifically grounded information, articles, and publications on biodiversity and make them accessible to a wide audience.

The project was developed by Joel Adler as an independent platform in cooperation with ABITEC-HUB (abitec-hub.org). Together, we share the vision of presenting knowledge about life on Earth in a central, transparent, and sustainable way.

What is Ecolopedia?

Ecolopedia unites different areas of knowledge sharing within one platform:

  • Publications
Researchers, authors, and institutions can submit scientific papers, studies, or academic publications. These are uploaded via our Request Form, reviewed by our team, and then published.

  • Articles
Similar to Wikipedia, users can contribute articles on biological topics, expand existing entries, or suggest updates. Submissions are made through the Request System to ensure the quality and relevance of the content.

  • Posts & Opinions
In addition to scientific content, Ecolopedia also offers space for open discussions, personal observations, and topic-related opinion pieces. These can include images and additional materials submitted via our form.
Note: This feature is currently under development.

Our Mission

We aim to make knowledge about nature and its living forms freely accessible open to professionals, students, and anyone passionate about biology, ecology, and research.
Ecolopedia encourages the exchange between science and the public to promote understanding, education, and awareness of the diversity of life.
